I am John Michael Simmons, also known as JM Simmons, Master Craftsman at JMS bespoke space.

I have been perfecting my craft for over 40 years, both in domestic and commercial furniture design and installation, since I made my first piece at 14 years old.

These days, more than ever, space is a premium, however due to the increase in non-made to measure furniture there is a lot of wasted space.  To meet the demand for more living space and better working environments, I solve ‘space’ problems by helping my clients maximise their living and working spaces and ultimately increase desirability and resale value of their property.  I love to walk into your room or your awkward space, understand your bespoke furniture requirements and design how I can make your space work for you.

My ultimate passion is creating something from nothing.  Using my breadth of experience and meticulous attention to detail in my work, I take great pleasure in taking a piece of wood and crafting it to transform a space in your home or work place.

As a bespoke furniture maker I take great pride in designing and creating bespoke pieces at my workshop base in Wandsworth, London to ensure you are not inconvenienced and the quality of my work is maintained.
